There are lots of benefits of this clay and I would like to talk about these benefits before diving into how to make homemade almond and bentonite clay toothpaste.

Benefits of Bentonite Clay

One of the main benefit of bentonite clay for teeth is mineralisation. This clay will support the enamel of your teeth with amazing mineral capturing properties.

Also, this clay is super good cleaner and toxin absorber. So, if you brush your teeth with this clay, you can protect your teeth from decaying.

This clay also has high level of minerals. Some of these minerals are calcium, magnesium, and silica. All these three minerals are essential for your teeth. ,

So, bentonite clay is a good alternative to use in toothpaste to protect your teeth and general oral health.

  • 1/3 cup of bentonite clay

How to Make: Coconut Oil Toothpaste Recipe

You can use your natural almond and bentonite clay toothpaste like a normal toothpaste. The almond extract we use here will give taste to your toothpaste. If you don’t add almond extract, your toothpaste may taste like clay.

Also, xylitol is added to achieve the consistency we want. Without this ingredient, toothpaste is a bit more liquid. And it may be hard to use a liquid toothpaste. So, with xylitol, we can have the solid like consistency we want.

When using this toothpaste, just dip your toothbrush into the mixture. Brush your teeth normally and rinse your mouth with water. After that, you can always use your DIY mouth wash to complete your oral hygiene.

Of course, you can always go for other flavours. Simply change almond extract with vanilla extract and have your own vanilla clay toothpaste. Also, you can go for mint extract to make mint clay toothpaste. It is all up to you.
