Instead, you can make your own DIY setting powder and stop spending hours on finding natural products. What Is Setting Powder?

Setting powders will help keeping our make-up all day. These powders will keep our foundation and blush on our face. When selecting powder, you need to find the right colour for your skin.

But it is hard to find exact colour as well. You can prepare your own setting powder at home with couple of ingredients you can easily find at home. This setting powder will be free of all harmful chemicals and have the exact colour you like.

½ cup of arrowroot (maranta starch) powder
1-3 tea spoons of cocoa powder *
1-3 tea spoons of nutmeg powder *
2 drops of geranium essential oil **

* Cocoa powder and nutmeg powder will help to achieve your exact skin tone. So, start with 1 tea spoon of cocoa powder and 1 tea spoon of nutmeg powder. If you have darker skin, you can use 3 tea spoon or more.

** Instead of geranium essential oil, you can use rose geranium essential oil as well. Essential oils will make your setting powder smell nice and moisturise your skin as well. Instead of heavier essential oils like lavender essential oil you may use more natural options like rose geranium to make your setting powder.

DIY Setting Powder with Natural Ingredients Preparation

Take arrowroot powder inside a clean bowl.

Then, add cocoa powder and nutmeg powder on arrowroot powder.

Mix all ingredients. Add more cocoa powder or nutmeg powder if you have darker skin.

At the last stage, add geranium essential oil (or rose geranium essential oil).

Combine all ingredients.

Transfer this mixture into a clean cup.

Your diy setting powder is ready.

Keep your diy setting powder in dark and dry place. You can use this amazing DIY setting powder like normal setting powders. Apply your foundation. Wait for the foundation to set in. Apply your diy setting powder with a brush.

This amazing and natural setting powder will keep your make-up on your face all day.

You can store this homemade powder for 2-3 weeks. Then, you can prepare another batch and continue using your setting powder.

Also, note the ratio of cocoa powder and nutmeg powder amount for the future batches. This way, you don’t need to deal with setting the ratios all the time.
