Mango Oil:

Grape Seed Oil:

You can prepare both these body oil recipes with only two ingredients. So, making your own body oil at home is super easy.

Homemade Body Oil -1

Ingredients:

  • 5 table spoons of Shea butter
  • 1-2 drops of essential oil – you can use your own essential oil in your own body oil. Lavender will help you relax. On the other hand, almond oil will nourish your skin.

Preparation

Combine Shea oil and essential oil of your choice. Apply to your whole body and wait for your skin to absorb this oil. You don’t need to rinse your body oil.

Homemade Body Oil -2

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 table spoons of cocoa oil
  • 1-2 drops of essential oil – you can use the essential oil you like.

Preparation

Combine cocoa oil and essential oil and apply to your skin. Cocoa oil will nourish your skin and essential oils will relax your skin. You don’t need to rinse this body oil.

How to Use Homemade Body Oil Recipe?

Ideally, you can use your homemade natural body oil after bath. A warm bath will open your pores. Also, moist absorption capacity of your skin will increase.

This way, essential oils and other oils will easily be absorbed. To benefit from effects of natural oils, these oils should be absorbed by your skin.

If you don’t have time to prepare oil combination, you can use few drops of essential oil. Few drops of these essential oils will make a difference.

How Can I Make Essential Oils More Permanent?

If you want to prepare long lasting body oil, there are few ways. Essential oils are volatile. This means they don’t last that long. So, you need store these essential oils in dry and cool place. But, you can use these essential oils longer with some carrier oils.

Most common carrier oil in homemade cosmetics is coconut oil. You can easily buy this oil and it will preserve the essence of essential oils. Additionally, you can use Shea oil or cocoa oil as an alternative.

You can mix essential oils with carrier oils and store for 1 or 2 weeks. Generally, oils like vitamin E oils may have one or two year shelf life. When you buy natural oils, you can pay attention to shelf lives.

Be Careful When You Use Body Oil

Body oils are generally safe. But, some people may be allergic to essential oils in these body oils. These allergies may cause unexpected reactions.

Before preparing your own homemade body oil with essential oils, you can test this essential oil on your skin. If there is no rash or itchy feeling, this oil is safe. But we recommend consulting to your doctor for the most accurate results.

If you are pregnant, you also need to be careful about these essential oils. Some essential oils are strong. Since these oils can interact with other medication when absorb by skin, you should consult to your doctor before using this oil.

Try to choose reliable suppliers when you buy these oils. Also, try to buy organic products.
