Are you tired of checking all the labels when you are buying deodorant? Or vegetable based organic deodorants are making a gigantic hole in your budget? Don’t worry. I had similar problems in the past. But now they are all gone.
I am making my own homemade citrus deodorant. How did this journey start? I will give you some detail about how I decided to make my homemade deodorant.
[irp posts=”1587″ name=”How to Make Homemade Peppermint Shampoo?”]It all started with reading the labels of commercial deodorants. And I was shocked. Those products we bought for years had high amount of chemicals. Although some of them are safe, most of those ingredients are highly toxic.
For example, paraben can be the number one toxic material you can find in a commercial deodorant. Paraben is a popular preservative in the cosmetic industry. This ingredient helps to increase the shelf-life of products. But at what cost?
What is more most of the commercial deodorants have talc. And it is a carcinogen ingredient. Talc contains asbestiform fibres which makes this additive our number one enemy. The list goes on and on. To avoid such troubles, I decided to work on my healthy and organic homemade citrus deodorant recipe. Below, I will give you
ingredients and preparation steps of my amazing new homemade citrus deodorant recipe.
Add baking soda and arrowroot powder (or corn starch) in a bowl.
Mix these two ingredients.
Make paste from the coconut oil.**
Add coconut oil, essential lemon oil and powder mixture together.
Combine all ingredients to obtain uniform mixture.
Pour this mixture into deodorant tubes and wait for the mixture to freeze.
Enjoy your homemade citrus deodorant.
Take a pan and add water.
Place this pan on the stove.
Add coconut oil in the bowl.
Place the bowl on the pan and melt coconut oil.
You can also melt the coconut oil in microwave.
You can use this homemade citrus deodorant every day. Since this cosmetic have no preservatives or other chemical materials, it is perfectly safe you’re your health.
Also, you can keep the deodorant at room temperature. You can play with ingredients, especially with essential lemon oil to make other types of homemade deodorant. Here, I wanted to try something different and used essential lemon oil.
