How to Make Homemade Eye Liner?

Contents

Everyone loves eye liner. And since they are the popular make-up product, I decided to search natural ways for making my own homemade eye liner.

As you know, I have tried various homemade make-up products like homemade mascara, homemade bronzer and so on. This is because I love the idea to use natural and chemical free products.

When I go shopping to buy some make-up products, the labels are making me anxious. There are lots of ingredients that could harm my health as well as skin. Of course, if I am going to buy some products, I am trying to select the most natural ones. However, it is almost impossible.

Make-up brands often add preservatives to increase the self-life of the product. Or they can also add harmful colouring and odour ingredients and make the product attractive to customer. So, I want to stay away from all these ingredients when I am using an eye liner. I searched for different recipes online. Most of these recipes were easy to make. And I needed a few materials for the perfectly natural homemade eye liner.

So, I tried some of these recipes, mixed things up a little, and came up with my own homemade eye liner recipe. This natural DIY eye liner recipe only has natural and easy to find products. Like me, you can also change the amounts of ingredients and try to make your own natural eye liner mixture at home.

Homemade Eye Liner Ingredients:

Base Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of natural coconut oil
  • 4 teaspoons of Aloe Vera – you can use Aloe Vera gel. If you have an Aloe Vera plant at your house, you can use the gel of that plant. All you need to do is to cut one of the leaves of Aloe Vera and extract the gel from the plant. This way you can obtain completely natural Aloe Vera gel at home.

Colouring Ingredients:

Black

  • 1 or 2 tea spoons of activated charcoal – if you have activated charcoal capsules, you can use one or two capsules to prepare your homemade eye liner.

Brown

  • ½ tea spoon of cocoa powder

Homemade Eye Liner Preparation:

1

Place coconut oil, Aloe Vera gel, and the colouring ingredient (activated charcoal or cocoa powder) in a small bowl.

2

Mix all the ingredients until you obtain a homogenous liquid-like mixture.

3

Take a clean container with a cap.

4

Put the mixture in this container.

5

You can now use your natural homemade eye liner.

Remember, you should keep your eye liner mixture in a dark place and away from humidity. Since this eye liner has no preservative ingredients like the commercial products, it has limited protection against sun and water.

Also, you can increase the cocoa powder amount if you want. Activated charcoal will give the blackness you want. But, if you want to use a darker brown eye liner, you can add 1 tea spoon of cocoa powder.

As you try this amazing recipe, you can mix new ingredients. And shape this homemade eye liner recipe for your needs.
