How to Make Homemade Foot Deodorant?

Bad foot smell could be very problematic and frustrating. Sometimes we don’t know when we will take our shoes off. So, it is always best to prepared. When you have to take your shoe off, you wouldn’t want a bad odour to be smelled all over the room. To prevent such unpleasant moments, I will give you my own homemade foot deodorant recipe.

This recipe will save your life. Although this recipe may seem to contain too many ingredient, don’t worry. You probably have most of them at home if your are making your homemade cosmetic products.

Your foot may smell because of various reasons. For example, you may have a health problem in your foot. And this could easily cause smelling. Also, wearing the same shoe all time can cause smelly foot. If your shoes are getting old, this could be the other reason for smelly foot.

But now, with my homemade foot deodorant recipe, you can easily avoid this smell. The main ingredient that will keep the smell off will be essential oils. This recipe contains more essential oil than any other homemade cosmetic product. And this will help to make yours foot smell amazing. What is more, those essential oils and especially lavender oil will give you’re a refreshing feeling.

The base ingredient of homemade foot deodorant recipe will be white clay. And this can easily be found in your local stores or via online shopping. White clay will reduce the sweating. This way, your foot will not smell.

Homemade Foot Deodorant Ingredients:

  • 35g of white clay
  • 45g of arrowroot powder – you can also use corn starch instead of arrowroot powder. Most of the time, it is better to use arrowroot powder if you have sensitive skin. Other than that, corn starch will do the job perfectly fine.
  • 7 drops of essential tea tree oil
  • 6 drops of essential lavender oil
  • 5 drops of essential sandalwood oil
  • 2 drops of essential geranium oil

Homemade Foot Deodorant Preparation:

Add white clay and arrowroot powder (corn starch if you are using that ingredient) into a bowl.

Mix the ingredients.

Add essential tea tree oil, essential lavender oil, essential sandalwood oil, and essential geranium oil into this mixture.

Shake all the ingredients to obtain a homogenous mixture.

Pour the mixture inside a spray bottle.

You can easily use this amazing homemade foot deodorant every day. Take the spray bottle that contains the mixture. Sprinkle to your shoes. Or you can directly apply to your foot. You can even sprinkle on your socks as well.
