How to Make Homemade Honey and Cinnamon Lip Scrub?

My lips were feeling dry and lost the soft look. I think it is because of the cold and dry weather. To prevent this and have softer looking lips, I decided to make my own lip scrub. And as in all other homemade beauty products I made, I wanted to play with food. The result was homemade honey and cinnamon lip scrub. And it is amazing.

You probably never seen such effective homemade products. So, in this natural lip scrub recipe, I decided to mix honey and cinnamon. Both of these ingredients are extremely healthy. Also, you can easily use those ingredients in any of your DIY homemade skin care products. Before giving the ultimate homemade honey and cinnamon lip scrub recipe, I want to talk about benefits of honey and cinnamon.

It is known that honey is the natural friend of cut and burns and all those scars. What is more, honey is perfect for balancing out the acidity level of the skin. This means that oily look or dry look of your skin can easily disappear when you use honey in your homemade skin care products. Also, honey can give the desired consistency to homemade lip scrubs and other homemade cosmetic products.

If we look at the benefits of cinnamon, we can easily spot that cinnamon is the natural cure for dry lips. Cinnamon will make your lips look fuller. If you use too much cinnamon, you may irritate your lips or skin.

Homemade Honey and Cinnamon Lip Scrub Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 table spoon of coconut oil*
  • 1 table spoon of raw honey
  • 1 tea spoon of cinnamon powder
*You can use other types of oil like olive oil or sweet almond oil.

Homemade Honey and Cinnamon Lip Scrub Preparation:


Add brown sugar, coconut oil, raw honey, and cinnamon powder in a bowl.


Mix all the ingredients.

As preparation steps, it is super easy to use homemade honey and cinnamon lip scrub. Just take small portion of your natural lip scrub and massage your lips for couple of minutes. Clean the remaining mixture with warm water. And start enjoying your soft and fuller looking lips.

You can easily apply this lip scrub twice or three times per week. If your lips feel sensitive, you can give a short break. Maybe you can apply this natural homemade honey and cinnamon lip scrub once a week if you have extremely sensitive lips.

I recommend making small batches and consume the homemade honey and cinnamon lip scrub quickly. If you want larger batches, you can play with the amounts of the ingredients. After completing the recipe, just place the mixture in a clean, preferably glass, container. You can store the mixture for couple of weeks.
