Lately, I am having some problems with my hair. And I think this is caused by the commercially available shampoos. Although I try to choose the most organic and natural options on the market, I am still struggling with weak and dandruff on hair.
Also, I have a lot of hair. And most of the time, it is almost impossible to control my hair. Since I have these problems, like in other make-up and personal care products, I decided to make my own homemade peppermint shampoo. You may ask why you chose peppermint as the main ingredient. Let’s see some of the benefits of peppermint oil.
[irp posts=”1582″ name=”Homemade Make-Up Remover Recipe”]First, peppermint oil has anti-microbial property. This means dandruff on hair can be treated with natural peppermint shampoo if used regularly. This is the number one reason to select this ingredient to prepare my shampoo.
Also, peppermint oil is known for relaxing the headaches. I don’t know if this will help when we apply externally. But I think it is worth trying.
Additionally, peppermint oil stimulates the blood vessel. This way, blood circulation increases at the roots of your hair. By using this essential oil, it stimulates faster hair growth. And dryness of hair may be eliminated with this essential oil.
I am also using rosemary essential oil in this DIY homemade peppermint shampoo. Actually, peppermint oil is so strong that it is hard to use it in large amounts. So, I will create the base of my natural shampoo with rosemary oil.
One of the most important benefits of rosemary oil is that it stimulates hair growth. It is also beneficial to dry scalp and can help eliminating dandruff. In this sense, both peppermint essential oil and rosemary essential oil are ideal for dry hair.
Take the castile soap and add into a clean and medium container that could be used as shampoo container.
Add essential rosemary and peppermint oil to the container.
Mix these ingredients by shaking.
Add the distilled water.
Mix all ingredients again.
Your homemade peppermint shampoo is ready to use.
To use your all-natural peppermint shampoo, all you need to do this take the shampoo and wash like you normally do. You need to rinse off the shampoo. Also, after using this DIY shampoo, you need to use hair conditioner.
Note: Before using this homemade peppermint shampoo, you should be careful about one thing. As essential oils are strong and may cause allergy in some individuals, you should test the shampoo before using it.
To test if you have allergy to essential oils, you can apply some essential oil on your hand. This way, if your skin becomes allergic and reacts to the essential oil, you should not use homemade peppermint shampoo. Instead, you can check other homemade shampoo recipes I give without any essential oils.
