How to Use Carbonate to Eliminate Pimples?

Pimples are one of the most common beauty problems, especially for young people. Excess oil and dirt will accumulate in the pores and create pimples as bacteria evolve in the pores.

Excess oil production, hormonal changes, dirty environment, unhealthy eating habits, stress, and other conditions can trigger pimples.

If excess oil production is controlled, pimples will decrease over time. This could be provided with proper skin care, simple homemade recipes, and healthy diet.

Simple homemade recipes include carbonate, Aloe Vera, Honey, and Green tea. We will learn how to use carbonate to remove your pimples.

Does Carbonate Treat Pimples? Let’s look at the properties…

  • Carbonate or sodium bicarbonate has mild anti-septic property and has amazing effects against bacteria that causes pimples.
  • It decreases acne related swallowing and red sports and has anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Generally, bacteria that causes acne and other skin problems need acidic environment to multiply. Carbonate neutralised pH level of the skin and prevent bacteria multiplication.
  • It acts as a drying agent to eliminate excess oil on the skin which can cause black spots and or sunspots. If you apply pimple treatment with carbonate, you should apply moisturiser on your skin.
  • It has exfoliated property to clean dirt, oil, dust, and dead skin cells.
  • Bicarbonate in carbonate penetrates to skin. This way, sodium is transferred to all skin cells.
  • Your skin will become soft, smooth, and shiny.

How to Use Carbonate to Eliminate Pimples?

Most of the carbonate recipes to solve pimple problems are listed below. You need to apply one of these methods regularly to eliminate pimples.

1 – Carbonate

When mixed with water, carbonate forms an alkaline mixture that neutralised pH level of skin. At the same time, it will help eliminating excess oil and other foreign substances on skin. This way, it will help eliminating your pimples.

  • Add baking soda to water to obtain a paste.
  • Mix the ingredients and apply on pimple.
  • Massage the mixture with circular moves for couple of minutes.
  • Let the mixture dry on your skin for 15-20 minutes.
  • Clean it with warm water.
  • Repeat this process twice a week.

Note: Carbonate may dry your skin. If you have dry skin, you should use a moisturiser. Use a good moisturiser that will smoothen your skin.

2 – Carbonate Bath

This method is applied to eliminate pimple on the back, hip, breasts, and arms. Additionally, it will refresh the skin subjected to chlorine in swimming pools.

  • Add ½ glass or 100-gram carbonate to bathtub.
  • Fill the bathtub with warm water and mix it properly.
  • Wait in this water for 20 minutes, and take a normal shower.
  • Repeat this process regularly.
  • Alternatively, you can use this mixture in sponge bath.

3 – Carbonate for Scalp and Hair Roots

This method will heal acne on hair roots and scalp. Additionally, it will help eliminating negative effects of hair gel and spray.

  • Add 2-3 gram (approximately 1 tea spoon) of carbonate in your regular shampoo.
  • Shake the bottle to mix it properly.
  • Regularly wash your hair with this shampoo to eliminate acne on scalp and hair roots.

4 – Carbonate Spray

  • Take an empty and clean spray bottle.
  • Add warm water to the bottle, and 1 table spoon of baking soda.
  • Close the bottle, and shake the bottle to mix the ingredients.
  • Clean your face with normal cleaning gel and water.
  • Dry your face. Spray the baking soda mixture on your face. Try to avoid your eyes.
  • Let the spray dry.
  • Repeat this process regularly.

5- Therapeutic Clay and Carbonate Mask

Therapeutic clay will absorb excess oil on skin. Also, your skin will become soft, smooth, and shiny.

  • Wash you face with a soap with salicylic acid.
  • Clean the face with a soft rubbing cloth and dry to a towel.
  • To open your pores, apply hot vapor on your face for a couple of minutes.
  • Add baking soda and water to obtain a paste.
  • Apply this mixture on your face and other areas with acne.
  • Massage with your fingers for 2-3 minutes.

  • Let the mask dry on your face for 15-20 minutes.
  • Clean the mask with warm water, and disinfect with benzoyl peroxide.
  • Dry after couple of minutes.
  • Take ice cubes and apply on your face to reduce your pores.

  • Regularly do this process until your acne disappears completely.

6 – Carbonate with Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E dissolves in water. Our skin can easily absorb this vitamin. This vitamin heals damaged skin and helps eliminating pimples.

  • First, wash your skin with natural soap and water, and dry your skin.
  • Mix 1 table spoon carbonate, few drops of water, and 1 Vitamin E capsule.
  • Mix all ingredients until you achieve ideal paste.
  • Apply this paste on pimples.
  • Massage the mixture with circular moves for 2-5 minutes.
  • Rinse with warm water.

7 – Carbonate with Oatmeal

Antioxidant in oatmeal will prevent harmful effects of acne and sunlight. It will help to increase elasticity and firmness of skin.

  • Mix 1 tea spoon of baking soda, 2 tea spoons of oatmeal, and 1 teas spoon of water.
  • Mix all the ingredients to have a paste.
  • Apply this paste on pimples.
  • Massage your face with circular movements.
  • Rinse your skin after 10 minutes.
  • Repeat this process regularly.

8 – Carbonate and Lemon Juice

Anti-bacterial properties of lemon will fight against bacteria that causes acne. It will also help to balance pH level of the skin.

  1. Recipe:

  • Mix one tea spoon of carbonate and lemon juice.
  • Apply the mixture on pimples.
  • Massage with your fingers to clean dirt, bacteria, and dead skin.
  • Clean with water and dry your skin.
  • Repeat this process twice a week.
  • If you have sensitive skin, add couple of water.
  • Alternatively, you can add carbonate powder and lemon juice to 1/4 cup of water. Dip a soft cloth in the mixture. Squeeze the excess water and clean the area with pimples.
  1. Recipe: With Brown Sugar

  • Mix 2 table spoon carbonate, 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 2 tea spoons on brown spoon, and warm water.
  • Mix all the ingredients.
  • Wash the area with acne and dry your face.
  • Apply this mixture on acne.
  • Massage with circular motions and focus on dry spots.
  • After the massage, wait approximately for 10 minutes, and clean with warm water.
  • Repeat this process until acne disappears.
  1. Recipe: With Tea Tree Leave

Tea tree leave will help to clean pimples and other skin spots.

  • Mix 2 tea spoon of baking soda and juice of half a lemon.
  • The mixture will start to foam. When the foaming stops, add 2-4 drops of tea tree leave.
  • Mix all the ingredients to have a thin paste. Note:You can add some water as well.
  • Apply the mixture on your face and wait for 5-10 minutes.
  • Rinse the mixture with cold water, and dry gently.
  • Repeat this process for acne treatment.

9 – Carbonate with Yogurt and Egg White

  • Separate the white of 2-3 eggs.
  • Mix 2 table spoon carbonate, 1/4 cups of fat-free yogurt, 2 table spoon lemon juice, and egg white.
  • Mix all the ingredients to have a paste.
  • Apply this paste on pimples.
  • Wait for 20-25 minutes until the mixture dries.
  • Lastly, rinse with warm water.
  • Repeat this process to eliminate pimples.

 

10 – Carbonate with Apple, Cucumber, and Honey

  • Add 1 apple and cucumber in the mixer and mix.
  • Mix 1 tea spoon carbonate, 2 tea spoon water, 1 table spoon honey, and apple and cucumber mash in the mixer.
  • Mix all the ingredients.
  • Place the mixture in the fridge for 1-2 hour.
  • Apply the cooled mixture to skin.
  • Wait for 10-20 minutes and rinse with water.
  • You should repeat this for 2-3 times per week.

11 – Carbonate and Orange Juice

Orange juice has Vitamin C that will shine your skin. Citric acid will eliminate exfoliation. This way you can shrink your pores and make your skin smoother.

  • Mix one table spoon of carbonate with one tea spoon of orange juice.
  • Apply this paste on pimples.
  • Massage with circular movements.
  • Wait for 20-25 minutes.
  • Rinse with water, dry your skin, and apply moisturisers.
  • Repeat this process to completely dry pimples.

12 – Honey Carbonate Face Mask to Eliminate Pimples

Honey is natural anti-biotic and moisturiser to treat acne on dry and oily skin.

  1. Recipe:

  • Mix one table spoon of carbonate and honey.
  • Apply the mixture on pimples.
  • Wait for 10-15 minutes.
  • Use a tower dipped in warm water to clean your face.
  • Repeat this process once a week.

Note: If the mixture was consistent, add some water.

  1. Recipe:

  • First, wash your face and dry.
  • Add equal amount of carbonate, honey, lemon, and orange juice in a cup.
  • Mix to have consistent paste.
  • Apply on all the area with pimple.
  • Wait approximately for 15-20 minutes and wash your face.
  • Dry your face and apply moisturiser.
  • Repeat this process regularly.

13 – Carbonate with Apple Vinegar

Apple vinegar has contractor effect to clean pimples effectively. It has malic and lactic acid to soften the skin and clean dead skin cells.

  • Mix 3 tea spoon of baking soda and 2 table spoon of apple vinegar. If you have sensitive skin, add couple of water.
  • Apply the mixture to skin.
  • Rub slightly with your fingertips.
  • Dry your face to a soft towel. Avoid rubbing hard.
  • Now, add equal amount of apple vinegar and water in a cup.
  • Mix thoroughly, and apply this mixture on pimples using a cotton. This will help large pores to disappear.
  • Wait couple of minutes and rinse with water.
  • Dry the face and apply moisturiser.
  • Repeat this recipe regularly.

14 – Sea Salt and Carbonate

This recipe is effective for cystic acne.

  • Add one pinch of sea salt on ½ tea spoon of carbonate.
  • Add water on the mixture.
  • Mix all the ingredients to have a thin paste.
  • Apply this paste on cystic acne.
  • Wait for couple of minutes or until the paste is completely dry.
  • Rinse your face with water.
  • Apply this process for 1-2 times per day until cystic acne is healed.

15 – Carbonate with Toothpaste

Toothpaste is effective to eliminate pimples and healing process.

  • Mix 1 tea spoon of carbonate, 2 tea spoons of water, and toothpaste (avoid gel based and whitening toothpaste).
  • Apply the mixture to skin.
  • Wait for 5-10 minutes and rinse with water.
  • Apply this paste regularly until the pimples are eliminated.
  • Alternatively:You can apply toothpaste with carbonate.
  • Mix equal amount of carbonate and toothpaste. Apply this paste on pimple and rinse after 10 minutes.

16 – Carbonate with Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide has anti-septic property and kills the bacteria that causes pimple.

  • Mix one table spoon of carbonate and hydrogen peroxide to obtain paste.
  • Rinse and dry your face and apply this paste.
  • Wait for 5-10 minutes.
  • Rinse with water and dry with soft towel.
  • Use moisturising cream to prevent dry skin.
  • Repeat this process once a week for oily skins, and once in 10 days for dry or sensitive skin.
  • If you have sensitive skin, add couple of water.

17 – Cinnamon and Carbonate Mixture

  • Mix 2 table spoon of carbonate, 1 tea spoon of cinnamon powder, ½ of lemon juice, and 5 tea spoons of honey.
  • Apply this paste on pimples.
  • Wait for 5-10 minutes and rinse with water.
  • You should repeat this for 1-2 times per week.

Tips and Precautions

  • Before using carbonate, try the mixture on your skin to test if you have any allergies. If you are feeling burn on your skin, rinse the mixture, and don’t use it.
  • Some experts claim that exposing the skin to carbonate for a long time distorts pH balance and this causes bacteria multiplication and acne. Therefore, don’t use carbonate for a long time.
  • After trying these methods, we recommend moisturising the skin. Carbonate may lead dry skin.
  • Baking soda and carbonate are different things. Do not mix these two concepts and do not use baking soda instead of carbonate.
  • You can apply the recipes on your face and other parts of your body.
  • Carbonate and water mixture is not recommended for children under 8-9 years old.
  • Avoid using carbonate on cuts, wounds, burns, and bruises. This could lead skin irritation.
  • If carbonate contacts your eye, rinse with cold water immediately.
  • To benefit from the recipes, apply as described.
  • Drink plenty of water to moisturise your skin.
  • Remember, one of the most important factors for pimple is eating unhealthy and unbalanced. Avoid oily food, fast-food, and packed food. Consume organic fruits and vegetables.
