In this post, I want to talk about this amazing recipe I have tried a couple of days ago. I just made my own DIY solid perfumes with sandalwood and vanilla. It looks like a stick and it is super healthy without all those harmful ingredients.
I was sick and tired of all these harmful chemicals in cosmetic products. As you know, I made tons of DIY cosmetic products at home. And I though that I could make my own perfume as well.
There are tons of options for liquid DIY perfume, but this time I will go for a solid one. It is durable and healthy. Just give it a try. I think you will be in love with this amazing and all natural solid perfumes with sandalwood and vanilla.
If sandalwood is too heavy for your, you can always mix other fragrances to have the perfume you are dreaming of.
First, you need to melt the bee wax. You can use a double boiler for this step. Or if you don’t have a double boiler there is another alternative. Just take the bee wax in a small bowl. Take another pot. Add water to that pot and boil it. Then, put the bowl with bee wax inside the pot.
Bee wax will start to melt. If you use grated bee wax, this process will be much faster. After melting the bee wax with one of these methods, just add the Jojoba oil (or almond oil/olive oil if you are using one of them) inside the bee wax.
Mix these two ingredients.
You need to wait for 10-15 minutes until the mixture cools down. Excessive heat may damage the essential oils.
When your mixture is cool but still liquid, add sandalwood essential oil, vanilla oil, grapefruit essential oil, and bergamot essential oil to this mixture.
Combine all ingredients and pour this mixture into silicon moulds.
You can choose the mould you like. If you want to have pretty shapes, use one of those heart-shaped moulds.
Wait for your DIY solid perfumes with sandalwood and vanilla to cool down.
Take it outside the mould and start using this natural perfume stick.
If you are using Jojoba oil in this perfume stick, you can store it up to 24 months. This means 2 years.
So, if you just prepare one bulk perfume, you don’t need to worry about your perfume for 2 years. But, if you are using any other oil like almond oil or olive oil, you can store it up to 12 months.
