Yeast, as a simple ingredients in our kitchen, has lots of benefits. Most important benefit of this ingredient is the strong anti-aging effect.

Folic acid and vitamin B content of yeast will stimulate the collagen production. These collagens will make your skin look firmer and younger. Another benefit it yeast can balance the oil production of your skin. This way, if you skin is prone to acne, yeast will prevent acne formation.

Due to these properties and many other benefits, yeast has been the number one ingredient of homemade DIY cosmetics. Yeast is generally used for making masks. Also, this ingredient can make your skin look smoother.

Yeast Mask Ingredients

  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • ½ cup of water
  • Some ice

Mix water and yeast using a wooden spoon in a clean bowl.

Continue mixing until the mixture you get is creamy.

Your homemade yeast mask is ready.


To apply your anti-aging yeast mask, clean your face with lemon juice. Lemon juice will kill all harmful bacteria on your skin.

Also, it is important to deep clean your skin before applying any mask. Then, use your fingers or a clean brush to apply this mask.

Avoid eye area while using this yeast mask. Wait for 10-15 minutes and rinse with warm water. You can apply moisturise to complete your skin care.

Since this mask contains lemon juice, you need to be careful about couple of things. Like any other mask or facial tonic with lemon juice, you need to use this anti-aging yeast mask at night.

Lemon juice may react with sun light and cause sun spots. To prevent any sun spot formation, using this mask at night will be better.

There is also another thing to be careful about.

If you have sensitive or allergic skin, you should try this mask on a small portion of your skin. If there is no rash or itchy feeling, you can apply the mask on your whole face.
