Can Everyone Use Aspirin for Acne?
Actually no. Before trying any of these mask, we would like to make a warning. There are some conditions to be careful about if you are planning to use aspirin mask.
Also, we always recommend consulting to your doctor before applying any masks or other homemade cosmetic products. It is always better to be cautions than being sorry later.
In case of aspirin, if you are under 16 years old, you should not use aspirin. If you are under 16 years old, you can try other homemade acne mask recipes that do not contain aspirin. You can simply apply yogurt to reduce your acne. Or you can use one of the clay masks that does not contain aspirin.
Also, if you are pregnant or if you are nursing, you should not use aspirin. In this case, aspirin can be dangerous for the baby. You should avoid aspirin if you are consuming too much alcohol. Alcohol and aspirin can interact and this might cause undesired results.
If you are allergic to aspirin, you should also avoid using it in a mask.
Aspirin for Acne Mask
Ingredients
- 5-6 aspirin (you need to use uncoated ones)
- Water
- 1 table spoon of apple vinegar
Preparation
Add a few drops of water in a clean cup. Add aspirins in this cup and dissolve them in water. Add 1 table spoon of apple vinegar. Apple vinegar will sooth your skin. Also, it will help cleaning your pores. Apply this mixture on your skin. Keep it on your skin for about 15 minutes. Wash your face with warm water.
Lemon, Honey and Aspirin for Acne
Ingredients
- 5-6 aspirin
- Lemon juice of half a lemon
- 1 table spoon of organic honey
Preparation
First, squeeze the lemon in a cup. Then, add aspirins in this lemon juice. After dissolving the aspirin in lemon juice, add organic honey. Mix all the ingredients. Apply this mask on your skin with your fingers or with a clean brush. Keep the mask on your face for 10-15 minutes. Wash your face with warm water.
Toothpaste Aspirin Mask
Ingredients
- 5-6 aspirin
- Toothpaste
Preparation
Squeeze some toothpaste in a table spoon. Mash 5 or 6 aspirins and mix them with toothpaste. Apply this mixture on your acne. Wait for 15 minutes. Clean your face with wet towel.
Yogurt and Aspirin Mask for Acne
Ingredients
- 5-6 aspirin
- 2 table spoon of yogurt
Preparation
Mash 5 or 6 aspirins with the back of a spoon. Mix them with yogurt. Apply this mask on your skin. Wait for 15-20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water.
No matter which acne mask you apply, always complete your skin routine with a suitable moisturiser. You need to be careful about how to select a moisturiser. Since acne is triggered by excess oil on your skin, it is better to avoid those products that will increase oil on your skin.
