Acne

When your body produces extra keratin, you may face skin bumps. They appear around hair follicles on the body. 

Nodules

Nodules are abnormal growths of tissue that can cause skin bumps on the neck, head, groin, and armpits. 

Skin Tags

Skin tags usually have a similar color to the skin. They are small and grow around the neck or armpits. They are painless, and they will disappear naturally. 

Warts

Human papillomavirus is the reason behind these types of skin bumps. 

Usually, they are pink or slightly brown in color. You will often see them on the feet and hands. 

Skin Cancer

There are some types of skin bumps that appear due to skin cancer. There are various types of skin cancer, and every type requires serious medical care and treatment. If you notice these bumps, you must contact your doctor immediately. 

A few skin bumps that appear due to skin cancer include Basal cell carcinoma, Actinic keratosis, Melanoma, and Squamous cell carcinoma. Melanoma is the least common but most dangerous type of skin cancer. It begins with a mole that has irregular borders. 

Basal cell carcinoma is another form of cancer that affects the outermost layer of the skin. You may experience painful skin bumps all over the body. Usually, they appear on the areas of skin that are exposed to the sun. 

Squamous cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that affects squamous cells. You will see raised sores or scaly, red patches on the skin. The common reason for their growth is exposure to ultraviolet radiation. 

Actinic keratosis is another condition that leads to cancer. You will experience crusty spots that are gray, pink, or brown in color. You can find them in areas of skin that are exposed to the sun.
