How to Make Homemade Facial Serum?

In these winter months, our skin will need extra care. Winter has negative effects on our skin. Our skin dries and loses elasticity. So, I decided to make my own homemade facial serum.

As you all know, I love natural homemade skin care and make-up products. This was no different than other. I made a quick research and combined the best natural ingredients for my facial serum. I was very satisfied with results. This facial mask is ideal for winter.

I first tried some facial masks of commercial brands. But, I never got the smooth skin I want. What is more, those products increased the acne on my skin. Most of those commercial facial serum products had paraben. It is almost impossible to find paraben free products on the market.

Also, phthalates in those commercial facial serums are as harmful as paraben. And this goes on and on. There are various ingredients in the commercial facial serums that will ruin your skin. So, give this amazing homemade facial serum a chance.

I am using rosehip seed oil as the base of this homemade facial serum. One of the greatest benefit of rosehip seed oil is amazing anti-oxidant properties. What is more, this oil has fatty acids that will help to eliminate blemishes. The texture of your skin will get better. And rosehip seed oil can eliminate the pigmentation on your skin.

This oil and other essential oils in the homemade facial serum will make your skin look smoother.

Homemade Facial Serum Ingredients:

[tie_list type=”plus”]

  • Rosehip seed oil
  • 5 drops of essential Frankincense oil
  • 5 drops of essential Myrrh oil
  • 5 drops of essential Lavender oil
  • 5 drops of essential Aroma Life oil blend
  • 2 drops of essential Helichrysum oil
  • 1-2 drops of essential Rose oil

Since this facial mask consists of essential oils, you should check if you are allergic or not. Some people may be allergic to some of the essential oils.

You can prepare the facial mask mixture and test on your hand before applying to your face. If you see any allergic reaction on your hand, you shouldn’t use this mask. You can check my other natural and homemade facial mask recipes that do not have essential oils.

This facial serum is suitable for eye area. You can apply this homemade facial serum to all your face. Also, this serum will help to heal your skin problems such as acne or discolouration.

This facial mask may feel a bit oily. And since I prepared this mask to fight against dry skin, it may not be suitable for oily skin. If you have oily skin, however, you can use this mask once in every two weeks. Other than that, people with dry skin can use this facial mask once a week or even more frequent.
