Homemade Moisturizer Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of natural coconut oil
- 1 tea spoon of Vitamin E oil – you can also use 1 Vitamin E capsule if you have any
- 6 drops of natural essential lavender oil
- 6 drops of natural essential tea tree oil – this is optional
Homemade Moisturizer Preparation:
Take natural coconut oil, Vitamin E, natural essential lavender oil, and natural essential tea tree oil (if you want)
Mix all the ingredients until you have homogenous mixture.
Take the mixture to a clean container with a cap.
Remember that some people may be allergic to lavender. If you are aware of this allergy, you should omit the natural essential lavender oil in the homemade moisturizer recipe. The coconut oil will be more than enough to do the job. Lavender oil is added to further increase the strength of the moisturizer.
If you are not sure if you are allergic to lavender or not, you should try this natural moisturizer on your hand first. If you see any sign of allergic reaction, you should not use that natural homemade moisturizer batch. But, don’t worry. You can make your own recipe without lavender oil.
Natural DIY moisturizer can be stored in room temperature. But, if you are living in hotter regions, it is better to keep the container away from direct sunlight. Coconut oil tends to melt at room temperature. So, higher temperatures may decrease the consistency of the homemade coconut oil moisturizer . However, consistency will have no effect on the moisturising strength of your product.
