When I was a kid, we always had amazing smelling soaps at home. These amazing soaps would always made me want to wash my hand. You can imagine how hard it is to make a kid wash his/her hands. But thanks to my mother and father, we always had sweet smelling soaps.
DIY Hand Soap with Essential Oils
For the sake of good old days, I wanted to try a liquid soap containing all natural ingredients. When you go out to a market, it is often hard to choose a natural soap without harmful ingredients.
So, instead of all these challenges and time losses, I made a bit research. And I found amazing way to make liquid hand soap with simple but natural ingredients.
Castile soap
Castile soap is a natural vegetable based soap. So, when you use this soap in your DIY recipes, you no longer need to worry about harmful ingredients.
For this DIY hand soap with essential oils recipe, I used a liquid version of the soap. There are also solid ones on the market. But instead of trying to obtain a liquid form, I directly used a liquid castile soap.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E has amazing benefits for your skin. This vitamin will nourish your skin and your skin will look younger and brighter. Combined with different essential oils, vitamin E works like magic. Your skin will get softer as well.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet almond oil is actually a carrier oil for other essential oils. But this amazing oil acts like a super moisturiser. If you have dry hands and dry skin, you can use sweet almond oil to moisturise your skin.
If you have oily hands, you can use other oil alternatives like olive oil or jojoba oil as well.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender essential oil has soothing effect. Also, the amazing smell of this essential oil will give a good fragrance to your liquid soap. Your hands will also become softer when you use this soap. Lavender essential oil is also has calming effect.
Another benefit of this amazing oil is that it will prevent skin inflammation. So, if you want softer hands, adding this essential oil to your soap will be a good idea.
DIY Hand Soap with Essential Oils Ingredients
- ½ cup of liquid castile soap
- ½ cup of distilled or filtered water
- 1 table spoon of vitamin E oil
- 1 table spoon of sweet almond oil*
- 15-20 drops of tea tree essential oil
- 5-10 drops of lavender essential oil
Homemade Liquid Soap for Hands Preparation

Take a clean jar or cup with a dispenser.

Add water to this jar. We are first adding water to prevent bubbles inside our liquid hand soap.

Add liquid castile soap, vitamin E oil, sweet almond oil, tea tree essential oil and lavender essential oil to the jar.

Shake all the ingredients to mix them. Also, you need to shake the dispenser before you use the soap.

Your homemade liquid soap for hands is ready.
To use this amazing liquid soap, all you need to do is shake the dispenser couple of times before using. This way all ingredients will mix well and you can enjoy all benefits of oils in your soap.
There is one important note about this soap. If you have sensitive or allergic skin, you may want to test essentials oils before mixing in this DIY hand soap with essential oils.
Since some skins are highly sensitive, these skins can develop an allergic reaction. But if you test the essential oils, you can prevent all these negative effects. You can easily prepare this amazing DIY liquid hand soap without essential oil as well.
