Homemade Shaving Cream Recipe
With this amazing homemade shaving cream recipe, you will have the chance to shave and moisturise your skin. This time, I want to give a bit complicated recipe. Actually, I don’t like using tons of ingredients. But I can make an exception with this recipe.
I want to show what you can do when you use multiple ingredients. When you combine everything, you will obtain a shaving cream that is better than any commercial product. What is more, you DIY shaving cream will smell much better than those products.
Once you start to use this shaving cream, you will never want to go back to other products. Also, preparing homemade shaving cream recipe is super fun. You can spend time in the kitchen and relax your mind.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of shea butter
- 2 tablespoons of raw coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of safflower oil
- 1 tablespoon of witch hazel extract
- 1 tablespoon of emulsifying wax
- 1 tablespoon of unscented liquid Castile soap – you don’t have to use this ingredient.
- 20-25 drops of essential rosemary oil
- 20-25 drops of essential bergamot oil
Preparation:
- First, you need to weight shea butter, coconut oil as well as safflower oil and wax.
- Put all the ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt everything in microwave. Another option for this step is using double boiler.
- Carefully add essential oils to this mixture and combine all the ingredients.
- Transfer this mixture in a clean container and place it in fridge.
- After the colour changes from translucent to white, take the mixture out.
- Use a mixer and hand blender to whisk the cream. You need to have fluffy consistency.
- Now, transfer your homemade shaving cream recipe in a bottle with dispenser.
How to Use Homemade Shaving Cream?
This homemade shaving cream recipe will give you a shaving cream like any regular cream. Just apply it on your skin and shave.
But there is one difference with this cream. Your skin will be much softer and smoother than any other commercial shaving creams. And you will smell awesome.
