Some people have dry skin. This skin type is especially problematic during winter. Cold and dry air of winter can make your skin more sensitive. But you can prepare your own face mask for dry skin. These masks have natural ingredients that you can easily find in your local shops or online shops. Let’s see which masks you can prepare to make your dry skin look brighter and softer.
Honey and Banana Face Mask for Dry Skin
Ingredients
- 1 medium sized banana
- 1 table spoon of Greek yogurt without fat
- 3 tea spoon of organic honey
Preparation
Take the banana in a cup. Mash it with a potato masher and make a puree. Add Greek yogurt and organic honey in the cup. Combine all ingredients. Apply this mask on your face with your fingers or with a clean brush. Keep it on for about 15-20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water. Apply a moisturiser that suits your skin type.
Apple and Oat Face Mask for Dry Skin
Ingredients
- 1 medium size apple
- 2 table spoon of organic honey
- 2 table spoon of raw oat
- 2 table spoon of Greek yogurt
Preparation
You need to grate the apple. After that take grated apple, organic honey, raw oat and Greek yogurt in a cup. Combine all the ingredients. Apply this mask on your face with your finger. While applying this mask, massage your face with circular motions. This way, mask will go deep down in your skin. Wait for 15 minutes. Wash your face with warm water.
Banana and Yogurt Face Mask for Dry Skin
Ingredients
- 2 medium size bananas
- 1 table spoon of organic honey
- ½ cup of Greek yogurt
Preparation
Add bananas, organic honey and Greek yogurt in a blender. Mix all the ingredients. Apply this mask on your face with your fingers. Wait for 20 minutes or until the mask is dry. Wash your face with warm water.
Yogurt and Rose Face Mask for Dry Skin
Ingredients
- 1 table spoon of Greek yogurt
- 2 table spoons of organic honey
- 2 table spoons of organic rose water
- 1 cup of rose petals
Preparation
Add Greek yogurt, organic honey, organic rose water and rose petals in a cup. Mix all the ingredients. Apply this mask on your face. Wait for 25 minutes. Wash your face with warm water.
Cucumber Mask
All you need for this mask is a medium sized cucumber. Peel the cucumber and grate it. You can use a blender to dice the cucumber as well. Apply this cucumber puree on your face. Wait for 15 minutes or until its dry. Wash your face with warm water.
Avocado Mask
Like cucumber mask, you only need one ingredient for this mask. And it is one medium sized avocado. Cut the avocado into two pieces. Take the inner part. Mash it or use a blender. Apply this thick mixture on your face. Keep it for 25 minutes. Wash your face.
If you want stronger avocado mask, you can add 1 table spoon of wheat and ½ tea spoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients and apply this mixture on your face.
Coffee Mask
Ingredients
- 2 table spoons of grounded coffee
- 2 table spoons of cocoa
- 3 table spoons of milk
- 1 table spoon of honey
Preparation
Mix coffee, cocoa, milk and honey in a cup. Apply this mixture on your face and wait for 20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water. Always apply a moisturiser after these masks.
Turmeric Mask
Ingredients
- 2 table spoons of flour
- 1 tea spoon of turmeric powder
- 1-2 drops of organic honey
- 3 table spoon of milk
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients in a cup. Apply this mask as a thing layer. Wait for 20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water. Or you can clean the mask with a wet towel.
Chocolate Mask
Ingredients
- 100 gram dark chocolate
- 1 cup of milk
- 3 table spoon of sea salt
Preparation
Mix milk and sea salt in a cup. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Add this melted chocolate on milk and salt mixture. Combine all the ingredients. Wait until the mixture is at room temperature. Apply this mask on your face with a brush. Keep it on your face for 15 minutes and rinse your face with warm water.
