Ingredients:
- 1 tea spoon coconut oil
- 1 tea spoon shea butter
- 1 tea spoon grated wax
- 1 teas spoon Aloe Vera gel
- 1 tea spoon active carbon or cocoa
Homemade Mascara Preparation:
1Melt the oils and wax on the oven on steam table.
2Bring the melted liquid off the heat and add Aloe Vera gel. You may need mixer if spoon isn’t enough for mixing.

3Lastly, if you want black mascara, you need to add active carbon. If you want brown mascara, you need to add cocoa.
4The liquid will become denser as it cools down.
How to Use:
I am placing the mixture into a small jar and applied it on the mascara brush. If you are patient enough, you may try to add it into your mascara bottle.
Warning:
Some of our readers told us that they are worried about applying carbon on their skin. You shouldn’t mix carbon with coal. Active carbon is processed type of carbon that is save for human use. This type of carbon is even used for purifying tap water (to catch the components that has smell and changes the colour of the water). In certain poisoning cases, active carbon is used for preventing absorption of the poison from intestines.
