Shea Butter Lip Balm Recipe

  • 1 table spoon of shea butter
  • 1 table spoon of beeswax
  • 1 table spoon of coconut oil
  • 1 tea spoon of honey
  • 15-20 drops of essential lemon oil

Shea Butter Lip Balm Preparation

Take a pot and fill the half of the pot with water.

Place the pot on the stove. If you have double boiler, you can skip these steps and use your double boiler for this process.

Take a small bowl and add shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil in this bowl.

Place the bowl inside the pot.

Wait until shea butter, beeswax, and coconut oil melts.

When you melted all ingredients, take the pot away from stove.

Add honey and essential lemon oil in the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients until you obtain a uniform mixture.

Pour the mixture into clean lip balm tubes.

Wait for the shea butter lip balm to cool down for at least 2 or 3 hours.


Once the shea butter lip balm is cool and has the desired consistency, you can start using it. Like normal lip balms, you can directly apply this amazing lip balm. You can store the lip balm at room temperature.

This amazing DIY lip balm will be your best friend. You can easily carry it around to work or when you are meeting your friends. And amazing moisturising capacity of the lip balm will make your lips look better than ever.

This shea butter lip balm recipe is prepared to fill one lip balm container. As you know, you can always modify the recipes. In this case, you can increase the amounts of ingredients. If you make lip balm that will fill 2 or 3 lip balm containers, you can keep the containers you are not using in the fridge. This way, you will always have a shea butter balm at hand.
