How to Prepare Activated Charcoal Mask?
Here, we provided two amazing recipes. You can easily prepare both masks under 5 minutes. And ingredients are easy to find.
Activated Charcoal Mask -1
We have decided to increase benefits of activated charcoal with bentonite clay. Bentonite clay is the best ingredient to prepare the mask. Since this clay has thick structure, masks tend to have ideal consistency. It is easier to apply thicker masks than liquid masks.
Ingredients
- 2 activated charcoal capsule (or you can measure these capsules with table spoon.)
- Water
- ½ tea spoon of bentonite clay
Preparation
All you need to do is mix 2 activated charcoal capsules with bentonite clay. If this mixture is too thick, you can add water to make it more paste like. It is easier to apply this mask when you have less thick consistency.
However, since we are using bentonite clay for this mask, we need to be careful about one thing. Bentonite clay can interact with metal utensils. What does this mean? Well, if bentonite clay is mixed in a metal cup or a metal spoon is used for mixture, this clay will lose all the beneficial properties. What can you do to prevent it? Don’t worry the answer is simple. All you need to do is use plastic or wooden utensil for the mixing.
After preparing your DIY charcoal mask, evenly apply a thin layer on your face. You need to keep bentonite clay and activated charcoal mask for about 15 minutes. Bentonite clay should be completely dry. After that, clean your face with warm water. Always apply a moisturiser.
